Lindsey joined Bosque School in 2023 as the Enrollment and Communications Coordinator. She has spent time over the past ten years with students from kindergarten through college, and whether it was as an elementary school interventionist or as the program coordinator for University College at UNM, one thing has always been clear to Lindsey—her passion for being in a school environment.
Lindsey has a bachelor's degree in psychology and interpersonal communication from the University of New Mexico, has worked as an editor and content manager for national online publications, and is working toward a graduate certification in college admissions and career planning. She loves singing musical theatre songs, dancing, baking goodies, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and pets.
What is your favorite weekend activity?
“Anything with my family! Playing board games, baking, watching movies—simply being together.”
If you could have dinner with anyone from history, who would it be and why?
“First one that comes to mind would be Gene Kelly. I love all things dance, singing, and history—so musicals and old movies are a passion of mine! Gene Kelly was such an incredible dancer, choreographer, singer, and director and made such an impact on film. I would love to hear his life story and pick his brain! Maybe have Lucille Ball in the room, too.”
What do you love about being a member of the Bosque School community?
“I love how from the moment you walk on campus, you feel welcome. Bosque has truly cultivated a strong sense of togetherness while also encouraging everyone in the community to ask questions, get involved, and feel at home.”
Do you have any pets?
“Yes! We have a 14-year-old cat named Cottonball (his little white paws look like cotton balls!) and a 3-year-old super-mutt named Poppy.”
What inspires you in life?
“My daughter. From the moment I became a mom and began telling her that she could be anything she wanted to be, I realized that I also needed to make sure I was showing her that. She inspires me to follow my dreams, be confident, shine my light, and be persistent in the face of failure.”
Tell us about a teacher you had who meant a lot to you.
“My drama teacher in high school made a huge impact on me because he always believed in me and made me push myself - which inevitably gave me confidence that I wouldn't have had otherwise.”
What is your favorite book?
“To Kill a Mockingbird.”
What would you tell a family who is considering Bosque School?
“I would tell them that Bosque School is a place where their child will have opportunities to flourish and be challenged through every step of their school experience. Not only will they reach and surpass countless academic milestones, but they'll gain the life skills necessary to carry them beyond school and into adulthood. Bosque fosters the whole child the whole time. They make space for wellness, diversity, and identity while also holding their students to high academic standards.”
What is your motto in life?
"'Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times when one only remembers to turn on the light' (Dumbledore).”
