Bosque School Students Win Congressional App Challenge

Harry ‘23 and Will ‘23 are winners of this year’s Congressional App Challenge! 

The Congressional App Challenge is a competition for middle and high school students to create and showcase their software application (app) for mobile, tablet, or computer devices. The competition is open to all students in participating congressional districts in the U.S., and the winning app from each district is displayed in the U.S. Capitol. The goal of the competition is to encourage students to learn how to code and to engage them in STEM fields. The competition is organized by the Congressional Internet Caucus and is supported by several technology industry organizations.

Harry and Will submitted a student information system mobile application that organizes student data and sends the information to teachers to be used in the classroom. Their app also includes an attendance module that allows students to update their status remotely. 

Their coding teacher, Mr. Fike, says, "We are very proud of all the hard work that Harry and Will did to accomplish this Congressional App Challenge win!"
