Bosque School Students Commit to Play Collegiate Volleyball
Bosque School class of 2023 students, Sofia and Dominic have both committed to play collegiate volleyball! Sofia has committed to Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and Dominic has committed to the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, North Dakota. The signing took place at Bosque School on Thursday, December 8, 2022, in front of many proud family, friends, teammates, and their Bosque School community.
Dominic is the first male student in New Mexico to receive a mens volleyball scholarship. He was instrumental in establishing a competitive boys volleyball team and creating a pathway for more boys in New Mexico to pursue volleyball as a competitive sport. Sofia is among just a small handful of New Mexico students who have ever signed to play collegiate volleyball.
Both Sofia and Dominic are excellent students as well as exceptional athletes, leaders, and role models. Bosque School college counselor, Mark Giesmann, says, "It's important to remember that although Dominic and Sofia are exceptionally talented athletes, they are, more importantly, phenomenal students and incredible human beings. We couldn't be more proud of all of their accomplishments."
