Announcing This Year's Graduation Speaker

We are overjoyed to announce this year’s graduation speaker: Cooper Tezak ‘17.

After graduating from Bosque School in 2017, Cooper went on to study chemical engineering at Arizona State University. During his undergraduate program, he rowed for the club crew team and participated in a solar panel recycling research project. Through that endeavor, he found his passion in the energy materials research space, leading him to pursue a Ph.D. in chemical engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Cooper is currently a first-year student in the Musgrave group, studying computational electrocatalytic materials design. He incorporates machine learning in his research, as well as his personal projects, and hopes to design catalysts that will facilitate the transition to a carbon-neutral economy.

Back in the fall of 2021, we solicited nominations for an alum graduation speaker. Cooper was then selected by a panel of students and a staffulty panel. We look forward to welcoming him back to campus on Friday, May 27, for our 2022 commencement ceremony!
