Upper School Fall Athletics Updates

Upper school fall sports student-athletes are still competing and looking toward a strong finish for the season. Here are just a few of the exciting details from their most recent events.

Upper school cross country: We’d like to extend a shout out to Kate ‘25 for her first place win at the Grants Invitational with a thrilling finish in the girls varsity race and to our entire girls team who placed second, narrowly, to 4A Belen. On the boys side, all three of our runners ran strong and fast on a difficult course against stiff competition. We are very proud of all of our harriers who continue to improve each week and are employing smart racing strategies. We are ready for the district finals Friday, October 29 at East Mountain!

Upper school golf: While we did not have enough golfers to make a complete team for the fall, four of our top golfers did compete in two tournaments. Lauren ’22, who is one of the top golfers in the state and placed fourth overall last year at the state tournament, was the fall runner-up district champion for the girls. Tahir ‘22, who is also one of the top golfers in the state and placed fifth overall last year at the state tournament, placed fourth overall in district play. Up-and-coming golfer Angelo ‘26, had an impressive district play, tying for third place. Roland ‘25 finished district play in the top 30. Fall season is a little more laid back, and we are looking forward to full teams and a competitive spring season.

Upper school boys soccer: Congratulations to our number four seeded team in the state! We will be hosting the quarterfinal game vs. Oak Grove on Friday, October 29 at 4:00 pm on Weber Field. This is the Game of the Week so bring your lawn chairs, blanket, and enthusiasm for Bobcat Nation!

Upper school girls soccer:
Congratulations to our number five seeded team in the state! We will be traveling to host Robertson, the number four seed, on Saturday, October 30 with game time at 10:30 am. Major cheers on the road!

Upper school girls volleyball: Both JV and varsity won their Dig Pink games and raised vital money for breast cancer research. Learn more!
