We’re excited to introduce you to our new upper school counselor, Brenda Quiñonez! Brenda is a licensed clinician with a master’s degree in social work, bachelor’s degrees in sociology, Spanish and Chicano studies, and more than twenty years of professional experience in social work and mental/behavioral health. She has served children, adolescents, and families in many different settings including the Children’s Psychiatric Center at the University of New Mexico hospital, Lotus Behavioral Health, and in several educational environments as a school-based contract therapist and consultant.
Brenda is delighted to be at Bosque School, and she is eager to work with students in support of their learning and emotional health. She says, “I am excited to join the Bosque community to be part of a team that nurtures the transformative learning journey of students. As the upper school counselor, I look forward to building positive and trusting relationships with students in order to best support them in their social-emotional wellbeing.”
Brenda is a mother, wife, and active member of the Albuquerque community, and she is grateful for her two young children, husband, and two puppies.
