MRC Is Hosting a Food Drive Through April 21
Do you have nonperishable food sitting in your pantry that you have yet to eat? Consider donating it! The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) service learning group is hosting a food drive from Thursday, April 8 to Wednesday, April 21. Drop off your nonperishable food items in the marked bins around campus. The group is also accepting toilet paper, soap, period products, and other items. See a full list.
All donations will go to ABQ Mutual Aid, a local organization that was started at the beginning of the pandemic to help feed our community. They provide contactless deliveries of care packages, and their goal is to offer solidarity, not charity.
Our MRC service learning group has been learning about food insecurity and how it impacts people’s health, and we are doing this donation drive to round out the unit. We are very excited to support this wonderful organization with donations! People can also send monetary donations at paypal.me/abqmutualaid.
