Upcoming Wellness Mini-Conference for Upper School Students
The WILLDS team is excited to announce a mini-conference focused on creativity and self-care and designed to boost wellness and support students as our community prepares to return to fully-remote schooling after Thanksgiving Break. On December 2, Wellness Wednesday will be dedicated to a morning of various programmatic offerings for students to choose from. Bosque 9–12th graders will be invited to self-select and are encouraged to participate for full benefit from the experience.
The Wellness Mini-Conference will include the following sessions, each presented by an expert in that particular field: Establishing a Gratitude Practice; Forest Bathing; Yoga/Quick & Easy Techniques for Boosting Energy & Joy; Collaging (art); Improv Comedy in Zoomlandia; and Finding Your Passion & Social Entrepreneurship. One session will be facilitated by a Bosque alum, as well!
More information about the mini-conference will be shared with US students next week, before the holiday break. In the meantime, feel free to contact Ms. Rutins, Director of Service Learning, with any questions.
The WILLDS (Wellness, Identity, Leadership, Life Skills, Diversity & Service) program integrates theory and practice to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and vision necessary to promote critical thinking and self-awareness, inspire discernment, build community, and engage as effective community members who cultivate a more inclusive and equitable world.
