” blog post on September 4, 2019, one of the biggest challenges for many of us comes from trying to establish some balance between our professional and personal lives. At Bosque School, we have initiated a set of communication guidelines to help provide clarity and consistency and to support healthy boundaries for all. These guidelines can be found in the student & family handbook, located in your myBosque portal
under the “Resources” tab. We ask that all parents and guardians review and implement these communication guidelines.
OVERALL COMMUNICATION GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS & GUARDIANS
Email is the most effective way to communicate with Bosque School staffulty. All staffulty emails are email@example.com
If you need to talk to staffulty by phone, please call the main switchboard (505-898-6388). If you are calling outside of staffed switchboard hours (7:00 am–3:30 pm), you can search by directory and leave a voicemail. Voicemails are forwarded to staffulty emails so they can be accessed off-campus.
To maintain appropriate boundaries and privacy, staffulty are not required to give out their personal cell phone numbers. Our preference is for all communications to occur through Bosque’s formal communication channels (email and work numbers) when possible. If you receive a call from a staffulty member’s personal phone, please honor their privacy and do not give it out and continue to use email and their work number as your primary communication channels.
EMAIL GUIDELINES FOR COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN BOSQUE STAFFULTY AND PARENTS/GUARDIANS
Please be thoughtful and schedule emails during business hours unless the email subject line is urgent. All non-urgent emails should ideally arrive in staffulty inboxes between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
If you have Gmail, you can use the schedule send/delay send feature to schedule your email to arrive in the recipient’s inbox at an appointed time between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm (how-to video here)
24-Hour Response Expectation (Monday-Friday):
Within 24 hours of receiving an email (Monday to Friday) from a parent/guardian, staffulty are expected to reply to the email, acknowledging receipt/responding. If they are on leave, their auto-response message is expected to notify you of their absence so you know if you need to redirect your message.
If staffulty need more time to resolve the issue, they should respond to let you know that they are working on it and commit to when you should expect to hear back from them with further information.
Emails that come in over the weekend (including on Fridays) will be reviewed/responded to by the staffulty member by the end of the day on Monday.
Note: Students should expect to receive an email reply from staffulty within 36-48 hours, within the above parameters.
