Sheryl Chard: Guiding Educational Leaders Across the Country
Sofia Center Director Sheryl Chard recently led workshops at our regional and national association conferences. At last week's National Association of Independent Schools Conference in Philadelphia, she offered Tend the Rituals of the Schoolhouse, guiding education leaders from across the country in an exploration of the critical power that ritual plays in shaping the culture of our schools, leadership practices, and classrooms. In January, Sheryl led a workshop at the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest Fine Arts Directors Conference held here Albuquerque. In this session, Educators as Artists : Artists as Educators, Sheryl guided arts directors from across the Southwest through a reflective practice of considering what is possible when we think of our education practice as a form of art and ourselves—both teachers and leaders—as artists.
“The opportunity to design and lead meaningful and beautiful professional learning experiences that elevate, honor, and inspire the essential and life-giving work of educators—that fuels us.”~ Sheryl Chard
