Congratulations to our middle and upper school Science Olympiad teams for representing Bosque School well at State! Our teams prepared diligently and their hard work paid off in the competition. Seniors Sierra and Chloe even earned 1st place in Astronomy! Here are the other medals our teams received:

Middle School Team: Medaled, 10th place in Ping Pong Parachute (Alexia ‘26 and Brooklyn ‘26)

Upper School Team Medals:
1st place - Astronomy: Sierra ‘20 and Chloe ‘20
10th place - Ornithology: Isabel ‘20 and Lizzy ‘20
9th place - Water Quality: Isabel ‘20 and Elizabeth ‘21
10th place - Write It Do It: Lizzy ‘20 and Chloe ‘20
10th place - Geologic Mapping: Victoria ‘21 and Elizabeth ‘21

This was the last competition for senior members of Science Olympiad. “It’s cool that this is the way I ended my time in Science 1st place,” said Sierra. “It’s so satisfying.” Sierra has been competing since 8th grade when she was enticed to join Science Olympiad after seeing the group launch bottle rockets into the sky.

Lizzy ‘20 has been on the team since 6th grade and expressed that the end is bittersweet. “‘It’s sad because it’s my last year,” said Lizzy ‘20. She hopes that Science Olympiad will continue on after upper school students graduate. However, the future of Science Olympiad looks bright with the middle school students who participated this year.

“I was really proud of the middle school girls who came out and participated,” said Sierra. Lizzy agreed and revealed how proud she was too. Both of them know how hard it is to put yourself out there and compete, especially for the first time.
