Ms. Rekow started dancing 30 years ago in Colombia. She has experience dancing Colombian folk, flamenco, hip-hop, tap, salsa, meringa, and bachata. Although she might not be that into hip-hop, flamenco is a true passion of hers. She’s been practicing the dancing style for about 15 years.

What does Ms. Rekow enjoy the most about dancing? “The idea that I can be myself. It’s a way for me to express what I can’t say in words.” She added, “I tend to be reserved and shy; this is my way to express my true self. It’s one of my passions in life. It’s something that keeps me sane in many ways.”

This is Ms. Rekow’s third Carnaval. She would love if you could come out and watch her perform.
