Chester '05 headed east to Kansas State University for his undergraduate program and hasn’t looked back since. Though he has fond memories of his time at Bosque, Kansas has been his home since graduating from Bosque School in 2005. He earned his BS and MS in Biochemistry from Kansas State University and is currently in his 4th year of Veterinarian School and will follow that with a PhD program in Molecular Diagnostics focusing on Foreign Animal Disease Diagnostics. His PhD program and research is being funded through a grant from the USDA. Upon completion, Chester will continue working with the USDA NBAF (National Biodefense Agro Facility) in Kansas focused on preventing foreign animal diseases from entering the U.S.
