Upper School Awards Ceremony

The annual Upper School Awards Ceremony celebrates Bosque students’ dedication to academics, sports, arts, leadership, service learning, and the school’s core values of Scholarship, Community, and Integrity. The ceremony was held this past Monday evening.

Annie ’20 received the Yale Book Award for demonstrating “outstanding personal character and intellectual promise.”

Kilah ’19 received the
President Gerald R. Ford Character Award for honoring “President Ford’s legacy of following his conscience despite political cost” and demonstrating outstanding character traits throughout his own high school career.

Rohin ’19 and Alia ’19 received the Class of 2005 Enduring Good Award for “conducting themselves in a manner which is most beneficial to the class and to the school, not necessarily because of their specific acts and achievements, but because they are people of grace and dignity.”

  • Gerald R. Ford Character Award: Kilah ’19

    The Ford Character Award honors the legacy of President Ford who “followed his conscience despite political cost.” In 1998, President Gerald R. Ford was introduced in Albuquerque as “good, caring, honest, and hard working.”
  • Class of 2005 Enduring Good Award: Rohin ’19 and Alia ’19

    The Class of 2005 Enduring Good Award honors the unique contributions the Class of 2005 gave to the school.  This award is given annually to the senior who conducts himself or herself in a manner which is most beneficial to the class and to the school, not necessarily because of his or her specific acts and achievements, but because he or she is a person of grace and dignity.

  • Yale Book Award: Annie ’20

    The Yale Book Award is given annually to a junior who demonstrates “outstanding personal character and intellectual promise.” This award honors the most exceptional student in the junior class.
  • Salman History Awards: Miel ‘22,  Victoria ’21, Branch ’21,Annie ’20,Catie ’19, Rohin ’19

    The Salman Award, named in honor of William Salman, through the contributions of the Warren Family Foundation, annually recognizes the students in History and Humanities who exhibit noteworthy academic performance, careful and critical thought, and a sustained dedication and enthusiasm for history.
  • Aldo Leopold Legacy Award: Parker ’19

    The Leopold Legacy Award is awarded to the graduating senior, who throughout their years at Bosque School has best exemplified Aldo Leopold’s legacy of scholarship and action, guided by a land ethic, and therefore resulting in a healthier environmental and human community.
  • Bobcat Awards: Jenna ’19 and Isaac ’19

    The Bobcat award is given to a student athlete who has competed on one or more athletic teams, has a strong work ethic, and demonstrates sportsmanship on and off the field/court. The Bobcat award is given to one female athlete and one male athlete each year, occasionally two per gender.
