Congratulations to Stella Blue ’21 who has been selected to attend the New Charter University’s Congress of Future Medical Leaders, an honors-only program for high school students across the country who want to become physicians or enter medical research fields. All attendees must have a 3.25 GPA or better to attend. The program will take place in late June in Massachusetts.
Stella Blue was anonymously nominated for the program and said she’s very excited about being selected to participate. “I am looking forward to learning more about the different fields of medicine and being in an environment (where participants) embrace the same passion (for medicine) I do,” she added.
The purpose of the Congress is to honor, inspire, motivate, and direct the top students in the country who aspire to be physicians or medical scientists, to stay true to their dream and, after the event, to provide a path, plan, and resources to help them reach their goal. Among many other life-changing presentations, delegates at the Congress will hear from Nobel Laureates and top medical school deans, learn about cutting-edge advances in medicine, and witness a live surgery.
Stella Blue said that she’s eventually planning to be a trauma doctor and has set her sights on attending either Colorado State University for their strong academics and beautiful location or Creighton University due to its medical focus.
