Bosque Nominated for High School Musical Awards

Nominations have been announced for the 2019 New Mexico High School Musical Theatre Enchantment Awards! Bosque School’s performance of The Drowsy Chaperone was nominated for an award in the Best Production, Best Direction, and Best Ensemble category; Montana ’19 earned a nomination in the Best Actress category. The Enchantment Awards will be held on Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 pm in UNM’s Popejoy Hall.

Montana will perform for judges live that night. Winners in the Best Actor/Actress categories will earn a trip to New York to work with Broadway professionals and perform on a Broadway stage with 80 of their peers from across the country.

An upper school ensemble will perform a scene from The Drowsy Chaperone at the awards event, and the winner in the Best Production category will be announced that evening although the performances by nominated schools have already been adjudicated. Bosque is competing against Albuquerque Academy, Carlsbad High School, Public Academy for Performing Arts (PAPA), Rio Rancho High School, and Santa Fe Preparatory School in the Best Production category.
