Bosque School MRC Students Continue to Assist Migrants
Bosque Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) students and alumni volunteered their time over the Easter weekend, helping asylum seekers as they pass through Albuquerque. MRC members helped with translation efforts, triage, and assessment.
“I didn’t know what to expect going in, but it was great to connect with the people,” said MRC leader Mia ’19. “It was cool to be a small part of their process and to connect with them.” Despite a language barrier, Mia said laughter, and Google Translate, helped to bridge the gap.
Kudos to Mia ’19, Julian ’20, and Brianna Sanchez, and Cameron Bahrmann, both Class of 2018.
