Bosque’s service learning group Helping Hands for Helping Homes (HH4HH) visited Casa Angelica on a recent Sunday, taking time to get to know and bond with the kids of Casa. Casa Angelica is a home for children and young adults with developmental disabilities.
The students said they enjoyed the opportunity to make the kids laugh as they read and sang to them; they’re looking forward to starting monthly visits to Casa Angelica so they can spend more time with the kids there. The group was led by Sandra Baca, activity coordinator, and Jordyn ’21, student leader.
“The (Casa) kids really enjoy the one-on-one time,” said Ms. Baca. “It’s good for them.”
