Bosque School participates in New Mexico’s Science Olympiad Competition Division B – middle school; and Division C – Upper School. While broadening science knowledge gained in the classroom, Science Olympians apply science, math, and social science knowledge in a team environment. At the middle school level, students compete in a variety of categories, such as technology, engineering, physical science, chemistry, earth & space, and more.
Science Olympiad competitions begin at a regional level each January and after qualifying at the regional competition move forward to state and national competitions. For more information about Bosque’s Science Olympiad Team contact Caroline Enos via email at email@example.com. Additional information on Science topics for this year’s competition can be found here
Team begins meeting in late August on Tuesday mornings in L15, and continues to meet until end of February. Although attendance on Tuesday morning is not a requirement to be on the Science Olympiad Team, meeting with team coaches and teammates to make sure each team member is prepared for the competition is a must. Access to the team Google drive is granted upon request to assist in preparing for the upcoming competitions.
Volunteers are most welcome to assist in preparing for competitions – you don’t have to be a subject matter expert to be a volunteer on this team. Contact Caroline Enos for more information.
