We are very excited to announce Bosque School’s first-ever “It Takes a Village Day” on the morning of Tuesday, November 23, 8:00–11:00 am. In keeping with the spirit of Grandparents and Grandfriends Day, we all know that it takes a village to raise a child. We are extending the invitation to all of the significant adults—grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, a coach, former teacher, etc.—who have helped support, encourage, and nurture our students in their success and development to join us for a morning of community, connection, and gratitude.
The format of the day will be different from years past as we are structuring it to avoid crowded classrooms, while still creating a dynamic and joyful day. In lieu of the traditional breakfast in the gym followed by class rotations, we will start the day with pastries and coffee at a special outdoor morning meeting in Sanchez Park and transition to an open house format where students will lead their “villagers” on a self-guided tour of campus and their classrooms, sharing what they are learning and doing in each class and introducing the staffulty that they are connected to on campus. By adding more outdoor activities and a more free flow day of exploration and sharing, we will minimize the crowding of small indoor spaces. In keeping with our current COVID-19 safe practices, all villagers, staffulty, and students, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a mask while on campus. We plan to wrap up the day and head out to break by 11:00 am, dismissing all students for the day.
Registration for “It Takes a Village Day” is currently live and will remain open until Friday, November 11 at 11:30 pm MST. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Philanthropy Team at firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to celebrating with all of you!
