Coaching
Bosque School coaches play a crucial role in the lives of our students, serving as mentors, motivators, and role models. They provide guidance and teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, discipline, and leadership. They help our students develop athletic abilities and contribute to their personal growth, character development, and overall well-being. Our coaches will be an essential part of your child’s support network.
We take coaching seriously at Bosque School and invest in our coaches in the same way we do our teachers, with regular professional development, community building, and support. This commitment shows in the engagement of our coaches in the lives of our students and school. Most of our coaches return year after year, and one-third of our coaches work full-time at the school or are alums, returning to Bosque School to inspire the next generation of student-athletes. We strive to have a diverse coaching staff who reflect the identities of our student-athletes.
The essence of coaching is raising awareness and responsibility to unlock our student athlete’s potential and maximize their performance. Our coaches help students earn confidence within a positive atmosphere where everyone thrives.
Knowledge and experience are important for performance, but neither are as important as mindset. By focusing on mindset, performance coaching emphasizes strengths, successes, and future possibilities. It leaves behind mistakes and failures and removes judgment, blame, and limiting beliefs — allowing our coaches to unlock our athletes’ potential to maximize their performance.
