Bosque School is committed to challenging and high-level academics that prepare our students for college and beyond. To be fully prepared for the ACT and SAT tests students will take, Bosque offers semester-long optional courses for upper school students.
This optional program, designed for Bosque students by Jacqui Spence of SealPoint Consulting, is a very robust ACT/SAT Prep course. It combines a regular course with:
-
individualized analytics for each student;
-
one-on-one sessions with each student;
-
parent interviews to ensure the needs of the individual student within the family context are considered;
-
a written report covering strengths/weaknesses of each student, which test is likely to be a better fit for each student, and recommendations on the best route forward; and
-
an opportunity to feed all the data into workshops where the students work on material specific to their individual needs, with the intention to help raise scores.
The program is offered to Bosque School students once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester, with lecture sessions on Tuesday mornings 8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. and workshops most Friday afternoons 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
If you are interested in signing your child up for the program, please contact
Amy Lucero as soon as possible to reserve a spot, as places are limited. If all spots are filled, students can be wait-listed and/or added to the Summer Program list. Please see the
Bosque Summer page for dates for the Summer course.
