Bosque Students Recognized at Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Several of our Bosque School students have earned recognition for their outstanding artistic work at the 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards! The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is a prestigious national competition that recognizes creative excellence in middle and high school students throughout the United States. Established in 1923 by the nonprofit Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the awards celebrate artistic and literary talent.

This year’s honors go to Gerald ‘25, who received the 2025 Silver Key award for his ceramic and glass piece; Alana ‘25 and Trosper ‘25, who both earned Honorable Mention for their mixed media creations; and Amelia ‘25, who received an Honorable Mention in the painting category.

These works, along with many others, will be showcased at The Orpheum Community Hub in Albuquerque from January 31 to March 1. Gold and Silver Key pieces will be displayed physically, while Honorable Mention works will be shown digitally due to space limitations.

Each year, over 185,000 submissions from students in grades 7-12 nationwide are considered for these awards. Only a select few, including our Bosque School artists, receive recognition, and the top winners are honored at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

A huge congratulations to all these talented artists and their teachers for their hard work and dedication!
