Celebrating Excellence: Bosque School Student Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist
We are thrilled to announce a remarkable achievement within the Bosque School community. One of our very own, Sam S. ‘24, is a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. This prestigious recognition is the result of Sam's outstanding performance in the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).
The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes the highest-scoring entrants in each state, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. The number of Semifinalists in a state is proportional to the state's percentage of the national total of graduating seniors.
Sam's journey has just begun as one of over 16,000 Semifinalists. The next stage will determine who advances to the Finalist level, with notification of this designation expected in February 2024. From this accomplished group of Finalists, all National Merit Scholarship winners will be selected based on their skills, accomplishments, and potential for success in rigorous college studies. These selections are made without regard to gender, race, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or religious preference.
This incredible achievement by Sam S. is not only a reflection of their dedication and academic prowess but also a testament to the outstanding educational community here at Bosque School. Join us in celebrating this exceptional accomplishment, and we eagerly anticipate further news in the coming months as Sam progresses on his journey in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Congratulations, Sam!
