Dana Alexander, MS PE Teacher & Assistant Athletic Director
Before joining Bosque School as the assistant athletic director and PE teacher, Dana worked at 21st Century Public Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dana is proud of being the kind of teacher who instills values of hard work, discipline, and integrity in her students and athletes, fostering both personal growth and athletic achievement.
What's a fun or surprising fact that most people at the school might not know about you?
“My favorite all-time color is pink!”
Outside of school, how do you like to spend your free time? Any hobbies or interests you'd like to share?
“I enjoy participating in or learning new sports. I also aim to explore as many hiking trails and national parks as possible.”
Share a brief overview of your educational and professional journey that led you to Bosque School.
“I have over ten years of professional experience in various roles including athletic director, physical education teacher, and coach. During this time, I have been able to showcase my diverse expertise in sports management and education.”
What's one of your favorite memories or moments from your time at Bosque School so far?
“The campus fosters a strong sense of community, where students and staffulty can come together to support and uplift one another, creating a welcoming environment for all.”
Can you share a specific instance where you felt a strong connection with a student or witnessed a notable "aha" moment in the classroom?
“I have found that my passion and dedication to sports have helped me build strong connections with students. In the physical education setting, exercising patience with students has been particularly significant. It allows students to take the initiative to understand their health, movements, and community.”
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or activities outside of teaching? How do they tie into your role at Bosque School?
“Women's Basketball County Leagues.”
Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
“I am excited to be joining the Bosque School community.”

“To always strive for your best and never hesitate to seek help or advice.”
