Bosque School Earns Top Honors at 2025 Enchantment Awards

Bosque School’s Thespian Troupe 7148 took center stage at the 2025 Enchantment Awards, New Mexico’s annual celebration of high school musical theater. After a weeklong festival recognizing outstanding productions from across the state, Bosque School earned the award for Best Production for its performance of “Hadestown: Teen Edition.”

Jade, a rising 11th-grader, was named Best Actress for her role as Hermes. Her performance and vocal talent earned her a spot at the national Jimmy Awards in New York City this summer, where she will represent New Mexico on a national stage.

Kiara, who graduated with the Bosque School class of 2025, was also recognized as a Top 5 Best Actress finalist and performed a solo during the final ceremony at Popejoy Hall.

Head of School Jessie Barrie shared her reflections on the evening:
“Our absolutely brilliant thespians performed their hearts out after being nominated for best musical in the state. There was zero question in my mind that ‘Hadestown’ was the best high school musical in the state. The whole state saw it, felt it, and said, ‘Wow.’ Thespian Troupe 7148, you are beyond great.”

The Enchantment Awards recognize individual and ensemble excellence in musical theater performance throughout New Mexico, with the goal of supporting the inclusion of drama and theater education in schools. All aspects of the program are free to students to ensure equitable access.
