Dear Parent of a New or Returning Middle School Student:
Welcome to Bosque School. We are excited that your son or daughter will
be joining us in August, and we need your help in preparing for our fall
athletic programs. As a student here, your child is eligible to
participate in several extracurricular programs, including our
interscholastic athletic program as well as theater, chess, scrabble,
etc. In order to be ready for the fall sport season, however, we need to
know each child’s interest, if any. Please complete and return the form
below by June 30, 2008. (Winter and spring sport selections will be made
during the school year.)
The majority of our middle school programs proudly participate in the
Albuquerque Parochial and Independent Athletic League (APIAL). Each
student may participate in only one sport per season. The fall selection
of sports includes
• Flag football
• Boys’/Girls’ cross country
• Girls’ volleyball
• Boys’/Girls’ soccer*
• Boys’/Girls Tennis**
*Soccer is not affiliated with APIAL. NW Rio Grande
Recreational Association or other club affiliation possible depending on
registration. This includes a fall and spring season. Contact Klaus Weber

**Tennis is offered through NNMTA/USTAjr.
Fall Sport registration is preliminary and does not constitute a final
commitment. Rather it provides us with an idea of the number of students
interested in each activity. Practice may begin before the start of
school. In addition, you may receive further details prior to the
beginning of the school year specific to your selection. Contact the
athletic department further details.
