What is
Operation Smile?
Throughout the world, Operation Smile volunteers repair childhood
facial deformities while building public and private partnerships that
advocate for sustainable healthcare systems for children and families.
Together, we create smiles, change lives, heal humanity. The program
coordinates more than 30 Medical Mission sites in 25 countries
annually. Since 1982, Operation Smile's volunteers have provided free reconstructive surgery to more than 100,000 children and young adults
and thousands of healthcare professionals have been trained globally.
What is the
purpose of Operation Smile Student Program?

Operation Smile has depended upon students around the world,
contributing even for just a brief moment, their youthful energy and
imagination to making a child smile. More than 450 Operation Smile
Student Associations around the globe build awareness, raise funds and
educate students about the values of commitment, leadership and
volunteerism. Operation Smile takes two volunteer student educators
and a student sponsor on every international medical mission. Students
learn how they can impact the future when they help children in need.
What is the Bosque School Operation Smile Student Program?
One of the most important values at Bosque School is the belief of
service to others. Operation Smile Student Program is a new branch of
the community service curriculum which was established from the very
beginning of the school creation. Ninth, tenth and eleventh graders
have joined thousands of students from around the world to create
awareness, become leaders, encourage volunteerism and raise funds for
children in need. Bosque students also plan to participate in the
international medical missions once they have demonstrated their
dedication to Operation Smile.
