  Community Service

Senator Pete Domenici, for the Bosque School dedication, wrote:
"Today we celebrate something extraordinary. We are witnessing a group of civic-minded individuals who are dedicated to making their community stronger. Look around you - not only at the buildings - but also at the people, and be proud that you have built something for your community that will last for generations."

Goals of the Community Service Program

  • Increase all students' awareness of social and environmental issues in our community and participate in meaningful activities that relate to those issues;
  • Introduce middle school students to the social and environmental problems and issues that are facing the bosque, Albuquerque, and world communities today;
  • Discover what organizations are available to help alleviate these problems or conditions;
  • Volunteer time to be of assistance and part of the solution
