Budagher
Hall Is Underway
Students returned to campus in August to see the
beginnings of a new structure adjacent to the Peggie Ann Findlay Arts
Center well underway. The building will bear the names of its
benefactors Sheril and Michael Budagher. Their incredible generosity has
grown as the project evolved from an original 10,000 square foot plan at
an estimated cost of $1.2 million to what will now be over 15,500 square
foot when completed. Budagher Hall will house a permanent dining hall,
additional fine and performing arts classrooms, rehearsal hall and
performance space.

New
Soccer Field to Honor Klaus Weber
Gifts and pledges are being accepted for a new varsity
soccer complex that will be ready for competition next fall. The field
will be named in honor of Upper School Boys’ Soccer and Upper
School Girls’ Tennis Coach, Bosque School Athletic Director, teacher and
mentor Klaus Weber. A New Mexico icon, Klaus has touched the lives of
young people for 27 years as a teacher and coach at the University of New
Mexico and through the New Mexico Youth Soccer Association. Since
coming to Bosque in 2002, Klaus’ positive energy and dedication further
endeared him to countless students, parents and alumni. In addition to
the new soccer complex, there are plans to construct six tennis courts
this fall along Learning Road.

Technological
Advancements on Campus
Bosque School made significant technology upgrades over
the summer in an effort to support our faculty and students in their
educational endeavors. Our most recent efforts include installing 8 new
Pentium 4 computers with LCD flat screen monitors in the south side of
the Ford Library for student use. These 8 computers are in addition to
the 32 computers in the north library computer labs purchased 2 years ago
with Annenberg Foundation funds. In addition, we upgraded all faculty
computers, 62 in all to the same Pentium 4 computers with LCD flat
screens. Software upgrades this year include purchasing a site license
for Office 2003 for all student, faculty and staff computers, which will
allow greater compatibility with software used at home.
