On May 6, Andrew announced that he will be leaving at the end of next year as
Head of School and asked the Board to accept his resignation effective June,
2011. Although the community will, of course, be sorry to see Andrew go, we
recognize this as a time of hope and optimism. We believe that the transition
between Andrew and our next Head of School is a formative step in Bosque’s
growth and development as nationally recognized independent school. Already
academicians from around the nation have expressed interest in leading Bosque
into the new decade. In short, this change is an opportunity for the Bosque
family. The Board of Trustees will actively seek new, strong and enthusiastic
leadership that will continue to exemplify our school motto, scholarship,
community and integrity.
In order to find the best possible pool of candidates from which to choose our
next Head of School, the search committee intends to conduct a thorough
nationwide search. After reviewing proposals and interviewing five highly
qualified search firms, the Board of Trustees has retained Carney Sandoe &
Associates to conduct the search. The firm is nationally recognized as a leader
in recruiting Heads of School for independent schools around the country. We
will be represented by Rayna D. Loeb, a Senior Search Consultant who has
extensive experience in head searches, including searches for leading
independent schools in California, Texas, New Mexico, New York, and Connecticut.
