Juaquin Wants Feedback - Calling the Class of 2004!

With spring here and graduation around the corner, I am nearing the end of my fifth year at Bosque School. If you have visited campus recently, you are aware of the development our young school has experienced during this time. You, the class of 2004, were the first Bosque graduates I had the pleasure to guide through the college process. I remember meeting each of you for the first time before your senior year of high school – except Nathan Perkins when you returned from USC to attend your Bosque graduation. Now that four years have passed, I am curious about your journey and where your path has led you. When I was around your age, I was leaving Connecticut, had no desire to return to NM, and made my way to Los Angeles, CA. At that point in my life, I did not imagine that in my late twenties I would be building an adobe house with my father; this summer that is exactly what I will be doing. I encourage my students to learn from their past experience to inform their future; I find myself doing the same. But it is a delicate walk, when looking backward and forward to better enjoy the present. So where are you now? What has the last four years been like for you? I know each of you have your story and I would love to hear it. Send me an update—I would really enjoy it!

Please Help - Alumni Volunteers Needed

The Alumni Office will be without staff in mid-May due to my impending maternity leave. Thus, I am in desperate need of a few fun folks who would like to volunteer to help communicate and host the spring picnic and homecoming events. These are excellent and easy volunteer activities that look great on your resume and may also hold interest if you are a communications, marketing or business major. Again, volunteers will be a tremendous help and all that is needed are making email announcements and greeting visiting alums on the day of the event! I need two to three volunteers for the Alumni Picnic in May and an additional three to four local volunteers to help staff the alumni tent during Homecoming 2008. Please contact me ASAP: Michele Tigelaar, Alumni Office (505) 898-6388 mtige@bosqueschool.org

New Newsletter - Enjoy!

Finally! Alums can now enjoy a newsletter devoted solely to alumni news. The Bobcat Beat will only be published electronically a few times annually and will offer alums opportunities to post pictures, tell travels, and announce achievements. Bosque coaches and faculty especially want to hear if you’ve made your college teams or are leading college programs. Alums are invited to be guest writers or volunteer to solicit and edit stories, too. Stay in Touch—Send us your Stories alumni@bosqueschool.org
